What a night to remember, this years Awards Night celebrated the “best of the best”. Every finalist was a winner on the night. None more proud of their achievement than James Tansey who took out the coveted Rohan Clark Memorial Award—Apprentice of the Year 2009.

In late July, East Coast Apprenticeships’ plumbing apprentice, Andrew Hanifin from Bald Hills won the North Brisbane Region Apprentice of the Year Award.

Carolyn Barclay from Margate is a carer for her 12 year old brain damaged grandson James. Carolyn gave up work 10 years ago to be a fulltime carer for James when her son and Grandson lived with her. She sold her family home and moved to a smaller house to pay for the costs incurred by James’ care needs.
